Following permission from the election commission, the Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) has floated a tender of INR 135 Crore for a general consultant for the Gurugram Metro project. The authority floated the tender on Wednesday, May 8, whereas bids will be opened on June 24, 2024.
The general consultant will oversee the entire project, including the procurement process, construction management, testing, and commissioning, until completion. The Gurugram Metro project is estimated to cost INR 5,452 Crore and will feature 27 elevated stations.

It will extend the Metro line from Huda City Centre to Cyber Hub via Old Gurugram, covering a total distance of 28.5 km. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for this project on February 16, 2024.
