In a significant development for the industrial sector, three new railway stations are set to be established in the Yamunanagar district of Haryana as part of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor Railway (EDFCR) project. These upcoming stations, namely Kalanaur, Jagadhari, and Darazpur, aim to facilitate trade and commerce in the region, extending their benefits to Ponta Sahib and beyond.
The development of this railway corridor is poised to create a positive ripple effect, benefiting not only local traders and industries but also businesses in the wider region. Recognizing the importance of proper planning, Chief Secretary Kaushal has directed the deputy commissioner to collaborate with officials from traders’ bodies and chambers of commerce to devise a comprehensive plan for the optimal utilization of the three stations.
During a review of the ongoing development works in Yamunanagar district, railway officials shared that the construction of the railway corridor is nearing completion.
