The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Rajasthan and the Department of Medical Education, Rajasthan has granted approvals for the construction of a Government Medical College Campus. The proposed project envisages the upgradation of the District Hospital to a Medical College. The setting up of a new medical college as well as the upgradation of the existing District Hospital will give a boost to the healthcare infrastructure in Dausa. This will help overcome the lack of hospitals and medical facilities especially in the pandemic.

The Medical College and District Hospital will be situated on a land parcel having a total area of 19.6 acres and the total built-up area is 8,53,772 sq.ft. The Medical College campus is proposed to have a dedicated academic block, a boys hostel, a girls hostel, a cafeteria, dedicated teaching and non – teaching staff quarters, a service block, an indoor sports block, the Principal’s Residence, and an open-air theatre. In addition to all of these facilities, a new block has been proposed in the existing hospital premises that will include hostel facilities for Resident Doctors, an Autopsy block, lecture halls and a Nurse’s Hostel. The medical college and hospital infrastructure of this campus will create skilled healthcare professionals and provide dedicated medical care to the residents of Dausa District.
