Godrej Interio announced plans to grow its mattress category at 20% CAGR for the next 5 years. The business aims to grow in the mattress category by increasing its portfolio of mattresses across all price ranges. According to a study by Godrej Interio, India is one of the most sleep-deprived countries in the world. It further states that 93 per cent of Indians are sleep deprived. They get less than 8 hours of sleep per night. With the pandemic, office and school environments merged with the home significantly. There was also an increase in the usage of gadgets increased significantly. This increase became a severe deterrent to good quality sleep. Additionally, with many working and studying from their own beds, paid heed to replace their mattress with a better one that offers spine support among other health benefits. Godrej Interio, taking cognizance of this need has been developing mattresses with the intention of helping people improve their quality of sleep.
