Development Control & Promotion Regulations for Pune Municipal Corporation (DCPR-2017)

The Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR) for the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) were sanctioned under section 31(1) of the Maharashtra Regional And Town Planning Act 1966. These regulations came into force from January 5, 2017, for sanctioning the development plan under the MRTP Act.

In general, DCPR plays a crucial role in controlling and promoting development within a city or region. It provides guidelines and rules related to land use, building heights, setbacks, open spaces, parking requirements, etc of urban planning. Moreover, Pune DCPR 2017 specifically applies to the Pune Municipal Corporation and aims to ensure orderly/sustainable development in the city.
