Railway Station Redevelopment Projects in Odisha

The East Coast Railway has issued a tender to appoint a Consultant Architect for Railway Station Redevelopment Projects in Odisha. This Architect will provide Architectural and Technical Consultancy for carrying out Feasibility Studies, Master Planning, Urban Designing, and Engineering. They will also prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the integrated redevelopment of Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Rayagada and Sambalpur railway station. Issued on 4th June 2022, the tender is due till 27th June 2022. They will evaluate the submitted bids on 27th June 2022.

The proposed Railway Station Redevelopment projects are in the pre-construction stage. With the estimated cost of INR 100 crores, the construction area will range from 300,000 to 500,000 sq. ft. 

Sambalpur Railway Junction

The railway junction in Sambalpur, Orissa has a latitude and longitude of 21.483374 (21° 29′ 0.1464″N) and 83.961553 (83°57′ 41.5902″E). The construction area of the proposed project is between 3,00,000–5,00,000 sq. ft. Construction will commence in 2022 and is expected to finish by 2025. The estimated project cost is approximately INR 100 crores.
