Real estate developer Macrotech Developers will invest INR 330 crore in the construction of a premium warehousing project in Mumbai in order to accommodate the rising demand from e-commerce and third-party logistic companies.
Warehouse project in Mumbai:
Macrotech Developers is one of the top real estate companies in the nation, which markets its properties under the Lodha brand.
In Kurla, Mumbai, the Lodha Green Digital Infrastructure (LGDI) platform, backed by the Lodha group, has purchased about 8 acres of land.
The land will be used to build about 4 lakhs sq.ft. grade-A in-city fulfilment centre that provides the last mile warehousing infrastructure and it will be beneficial to the third party logistics (3PL), e-commerce, and quick-commerce businesses.
The work is anticipated to be finished in phases over the next 12 to 18 months. This is the second acquisition by the LGDI platform in Mumbai.
The first project was a 110-acre logistics and industrial park development at Palava, an established location for digital infrastructure in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Macrotech Developers established an alliance with Bain Capital and Ivanhoe Cambridge earlier this year (2022) to create a platform for next-generation green digital infrastructure.
