The Yogi Adityanath government plans to establish a PM Mitra Mega Textile Park in Malihabad tehsil, Lucknow, covering 1,000 acres. The project is expected to attract an investment of INR 10,000 crore and generate employment for approximately one lakh youth.
The park will comprise industrial plots, sheds, and common infrastructure such as power supply, water supply, warehouses, and training facilities. It will be developed through a public-private partnership model and will include workers’ hostels, housing zones, medical facilities, commercial and recreational amenities, open spaces, and security arrangements.
As per the state government, the chosen location for the project is Attari village in Malihabad tehsil, situated on the outskirts of Lucknow, considering its connectivity with the rest of the city. The project site is conveniently located 20 km away from NH-20 and SH-20, both of which are four-lane roads connecting Lucknow to Sitapur and Hardoi, respectively.
The development of the park involves the construction of infrastructure worth INR 500 crore. Additionally, there is a provision of INR 300 crore for manufacturing units on a first-come, first-served basis.
