L&T Construction, a subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro, has won a ‘mega’ contract from NHSRCL for the Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project. The contract involves constructing a crucial 135.45 km stretch, including viaducts, stations, bridges, depots, tunnels, and more.
The ambitious Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project, also known as the MAHSR Bullet Train project, will cover an approximate distance of 508 km. This high-speed rail network will traverse through Maharashtra, covering 155.76 km, 4.3 km in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and 348.04 km in the State of Gujarat, with strategically placed 12 stations along the route.
While the financial value of the contract remains undisclosed, based on L&T’s classification, it falls under the category of a mega order, which typically exceeds 7,000 INR-crore.
The project will cover 508 km, connecting Maharashtra, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Gujarat with 12 stations. Approval for Q1 2023-24 financial results will be considered on July 25.
