SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has obtained Letters of Award (LoAs) from Assam Power Development Corporation (APDCL) for three solar power projects totaling 320 MW capacity.
APDCL will sign the power purchase agreement (PPA) with SGEL for 25 years, and the estimated development cost stands at around INR 1,900 Crore. SGEL participated in three distinct tariff-based competitive bidding tenders by APDCL for 50 MW, 70 MW, and 200 MW.

Under the solar park category, the 50 MW and 70 MW projects have been assigned at a tariff of INR 3.92/Unit, while the 200 MW project, which can be located anywhere in Assam, has been awarded a tariff of INR 3.90/Unit.
The anticipated timeline for commissioning these projects is 18 months from the PPA signing date, targeting completion by March 2025. In their initial year, these three ventures collectively aim to generate 628 MUs.
The project will be built on the build, own, and operate basis (BOO) and is anticipated to be completed within the next few years.
