The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has floated a tender for a 1 GW (gigawatt) grid-connected solar farm. The tender selection will be done via an e-reverse auction for projects with a capacity of over 50MW.
The last date for tender submission is October 31, while the bids will be opened on November 2. The solar farm will be developed on a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Model. The PPP will be effective for 25 years from the project’s scheduled operation date.

The bidders will have to pay a non-refundable document fee of 25,000 INR plus GST for the tender. Additionally, the bidders will pay a tender processing charge of 300,000 INR and an earnest money deposit (EMD) of 400,000 INR/ MW of the quoted capacity.
The successful bidders have to submit a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) of 180,000 INR/MW of the proposed capacity. The selected bidder must build the project and transmission network all the way to the delivery point.
