Uttar Pradesh Government announced the setting up of an Aviation Manufacturing Hub at Jewar in Noida. The facility will be developed over approximately 1000 acres of land parcel near the Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL) and cater to assembling and manufacturing units for aeroplanes and their parts. Many foreign companies (including those in America), along with Indian companies are poised to set up their units in this facility.
The land-acquiring process for the second phase of the International Airport is in progress. This 1365 hectares of land will be developed as a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and an aviation hub. The Aviation hub will spread across 1000 acres, including individual units of 5 acres each. The larger parts of the land will be dedicated to anchor units.

An Aviation Manufacturing Scheme will be introduced shortly to facilitate this development. This scheme is proposed to encourage aircraft assembling companies, engine manufacturing firms, nozzle manufacturing companies, and other aircraft equipment manufacturing companies to establish their units.
The work for developing the layouts for the Aviation hub at Jewar International Airport has been handed over to the PwC and the NIAL Board will be called to make further decisions about the implementation once these layouts are prepared.
