The board of directors of RCCPL, a wholly-owned material subsidiary of Birla Corporation, has given their approval to establish a 1.40 million tons greenfield cement grinding unit in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
The company intends to invest INR 400 Crore, and it is expected to add the proposed capacity within the financial year 2025-26. The funds will be raised through a combination of debt and internal accruals.

The proposed unit will serve the markets of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
In FY 2023, the company utilized 72% of its 9.81 MTPA cement capacity (grinding) and acquired a 100% equity share of Sanghi Infrastructure M.P. during the April-June 2023 quarter.
