SLSWCA (State Level Single Window Clearance Authority), on Friday, November 17, cleared eight industrial projects worth 1397.18 INR-Crore, further strengthening Odisha’s position as preferred investment capital. The approved projects involve sectors such as plastic, technical textile, steel downstream and aluminium.
The approved projects are:
- Sintex BAPL Ltd will set up its manufacturing unit for CPVC, UPVC, SWR, Agri pipes, PVC fittings, and plastic tanks, with an estimated investment of 479.47 INR-Crore. It will be developed in Sambalpur with an annual capacity of 37,520 tonnes.
- HIL India to set up a PVC and CPVC pipes manufacturing unit in Balasore at an estimated investment of 250 INR-Crore.
- Hindalco Industries to invest approximately 241.05 INR-Crore in a white-fused alumina manufacturing unit at Sambalpur.
- In the IT sector, Anuj Autograph Business Park will invest in an IT park at Khurda with a projected capital of 105.30 INR-Crore.
- Sandhu Tubes Pvt Ltd will set up its plant at Kalinganagar (Jajpur) at an approximate investment of 99.54 INR-Crore.
- KAI Steel Pvt Ltd to set up its plant at Sundargarh, with an approximate investment capital of 89.44 INR-Crore.
- GGL Chalet Pvt Ltd to set up a veneer, plyboard, particle board, and biomass pellet manufacturing unit at a projected investment of 70 INR-Crore. The unit will be developed in Koraput with an annual capacity of 10 lakh MTPA (metric tonnes per annum).
- Mega Flex Plastics Ltd will set up a manufacturing unit for plastic containers, leno bags, PP woven bags, PP woven fabrics, and corrugated boxes at a projected investment of 62.38 INR-Crore. It will be developed in Khurda with an annual capacity of 9,600 tonnes.

Together, these projects are expected to generate 2,860 job opportunities in six districts and give a boost to the plastics, textiles, steel, and aluminium sectors.
