In a significant development, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has received state approval for its ambitious plan to establish a world-class educational hub. The proposed educational hub will be situated on 18.35 hectares in Mouza Wathoda, South Nagpur.
The land will be allotted to Mumbai-based Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVPKM) for development under a public-private partnership arrangement, while the estimated cost of developing the campus is INR 425 Crore.

Out of the 18.35 hectares of land, 16.35 hectares will be allotted for setting up higher education institutions. This will be developed as a university of higher education or an off-campus university centre. Furthermore, a school will be set up on 2 hectares for primary to higher secondary educational institutions (KG-II to XII).
The campus will host courses in management, engineering, architecture, and law, whereas it aims to accommodate 4,040 students. Vocational courses will constitute 50% of the capacity, while the remaining courses will be determined by educational institutions.
