Jharkhand: State Cabinet gives nod for the construction of the new Secretariat building

Jharkhand: On 12th September 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the new secretariat building coming up at H.E.C. area, Ranchi.

The State Cabinet gave its nod for the construction of the new secretariat building which will come up at an estimated cost of Rs 1238.92 crore.

The proposed G+3 State-of-art building having a built up area of approximately 23 lakh square feet will have chambers for the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and 12 ministers. Besides, secretariat building will also have offices of 32 departments.

Moreover, the new Secretariat Building will be adjacent to the new Vidhan Sabha building. Presently, the State Government secretariat is running from Project Bhavan at HEC and Nepal House Doranda for past 19 years.
