The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) plans to acquire an anticipated 6,000 Hectares of agricultural land as a step toward urban development. The authority aims to develop a city near Noida International Airport along the Yamuna Expressway.

YEIDA has earmarked an estimated INR 14,000 Crore for acquiring 6,065 Hectares of land over the next two years. Of this, 1,609 Hectares will be purchased directly from farmers through mutual agreements. Meanwhile, 4,076 Hectares will be acquired through the land acquisition process. The remaining 380 Hectares will be reclaimed as government land.

YEIDA plans to spend approximately INR 63,500 Crore to develop basic civic services, such as roads, sewers, parks, and electricity. YEIDA will acquire land from 40 villages, including Rabupura, Tirthali, Karauli Bangar, Muradgarhi, Tappal-Bajna, Mudrah, Kallupura, Mayana, and others.

Additionally, industrial parks and logistic parks are part of the development plan. YEIDA will acquire 712 Hectares of land in Tappal-Bajna to develop an urban center. Furthermore, 528 Hectares of land will be acquired (in Dorpuri and Syarol villages) for setting up a logistic park.

The land in Sector 10 will be reserved for developing five industrial parks (including an electronics manufacturing park). The state government issued a notice for land acquisition in March for this sector. Moreover, Sector 11 will be developed as a fintech city, and Sectors 5 and 5A will be developed as Japanese cities covering nearly 395 Hectares. Meanwhile, sector 4A will be developed as a Korean city.
