Gujarat Government approves INR 399 Crore for two new bridges

The Gujarat government has approved the construction of two bridges in north Gujarat, costing an estimated INR 399 Crore. The bridges will be built on the Radhanpur-Chanasma road and the Mehsana-Himmatnagar road. Both bridges will be constructed on State Highway 55.

The bridge on the Radhapur-Chanasma road will cost an estimated INR 179 Crore. It will be a four-lane bridge over the Banas River near Radhanpur. The upcoming bridge will be adjacent to an existing bridge on the Chanasma-Radhanpur route, built in 1965.

Additionally, the Gujarat government has sanctioned an estimated INR 220 Crore for a six-lane bridge over the Sabarmati River on the Mehsana-Himmatnagar road. This upcoming bridge will be adjacent to the existing two-lane bridge built in 1966 at the Derol village.
