Haryana Government Hospital approved with INR 990 Crore budget

The Haryana Government greenlights the construction of a massive 872-bedded multi-specialty hospital in Gurugram. The project is to be built on an anticipated 9 Acres plot. It has been allocated an estimated budget of INR 990 Crore for the hospital building and infrastructure. This state-of-the-art facility is poised to become a healthcare landmark for the region.

The Haryana Government aims to complete the construction of the hospital in 30-36 months. Moreover, the facility will be equipped with a helipad to accommodate air ambulances and a two-story parking area, including multi-level parking. The hospital will also offer advanced medical services, including CT and MRI scans, nebulization, immunization, microbiology, and clinical pathology.

This grand facility will include 5 blocks: 

– The 1st block will host wards, offices, testing facilities, and amenities from the ground to the 10th floor. 

– Block 2 will feature a tuberculosis ward and an OPD for TB patients. 

– The 3rd block will provide residential facilities for emergency personnel, accommodating 56 residents. 

– Additionally, there will be a morgue and a service block.

The Health Department will oversee the construction through the Central Public Works Department (CPWD). They plan to issue the tender between August 7 and 10, 2024. Once the tender process concludes, the Haryana Chief Minister will likely lay the foundation stone in the last week of August.

Notably, this will be the largest government civil hospital in terms of bed capacity. The Haryana Government Hospital stands as a beacon of progress and healthcare excellence.
