GDA clears proposal for INR 3,000 Crore residential township near Delhi-Meerut Road

The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) board approved a proposal to develop a new township named Harnandipuram. The estimated cost of this township is INR 3,000 Crore with the state government sharing 50% of the project cost. 

Harnandipuram will sprawl on an anticipated 541 hectares of land parcel near the Delhi Meerut Road. The new GDA township aims to provide 5,000 housing units. Additionally, it plans to develop a medicity, a healthcare hub, and an IT hub within this enchanting new township.

This marks the first major township development by the GDA in nearly 15 years. The authority aims to address the growing housing shortage in Ghaziabad with this new township project. Additionally, the development of infrastructure like a medicitiy and IT hub aligns with the vision of creating a well-connected and self-sufficient urban center.
