L&T secures major contract for Agra Metro Phase 1, Line-2 construction

On Wednesday, October 16, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that it secured the contract to design and build Phase 1, Line-2 of the Agra Metro. The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (UPMRCL) awarded this contract. The project will cost an estimated 1,000-2,500 INR-Crore.

The Agra Metro project entails constructing a 15.09 Km elevated viaduct, 14 stations, and a 2.61 Km depot along the metro route from Kalindi Vihar to Agra Cantonment. Additionally, it includes designing and developing essential metro infrastructure between Sadar Bazar and the PAC Depot. The scope of the project also covers mechanical and electrical installations, complemented by architectural finishes.
