In September 2024, Biltrax Construction Data documented over 1,361 new construction projects. These include 821 building projects and 319 industrial & infrastructure projects.

Building Construction Projects Insights

The 821 new building projects incorporated in September 2024 cover a combined 245.57 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of 90,983 INR-Crore. Of these, 356 projects are under construction, while 465 are in the early stages. The breakdown includes 572 private projects and 249 public projects.

Among the significant construction projects in September 2024 is Namishree Infrastructure & Projects Pvt Ltd‘s residential project in Hyderabad. This project named ‘Namishree Vrindavan’ covers an impressive 9.70 Acres of land. With an estimated construction cost of 2,692 INR-Crore, it entails developing 8 residential towers & an Amenities Block.

Another notable construction project in September includes the development of Cornerstone IT/ITES & Hotel in Bangalore, Karnataka. This commercial project has a construction cost of 2,097 INR-Crore sprawling a massive 90 Acres of land. Being developed by Cornerstone Properties, this project is currently in the design stage.

In September 2024, 393 new tenders were floated with a total tender value of over 18,447.67 INR-Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Public Works Department, Maharashtra (PWD), Military Engineer Services (MES), Central Public Works Department (CPWD), and NBCC (India) Ltd.

Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights

In September 2024, Biltrax also documented 319 industrial projects worth 67,720 INR-Crore & 221 infrastructure projects worth 23,899 INR-Crore.

The 319 industrial projects span a total area of 41.17 Million-SqFt. Maharashtra leads with 75 projects, followed by Jammu & Kashmir, Orissa, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.

For water infrastructure projects in September, 199 projects worth 11,045 INR-Crore were tracked. Karnataka attracted the highest number of water projects with 69, followed by Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.

September 2024 also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One such notable project is KRCL‘s Anakkampoyil-Meppadi Section. This project involves the construction of a Twin Tube Unidirectional Tunnel in the Kozhikode & Wayanad Districts of Kerala State. It also includes developing a 4-lane Approach road for Direct Connectivity between Anakkampoyil–Kalladi–Meppadi (Package 2). The overall project has at a total construction cost of 1,643 INR-Crore.

Lastly, a major industrial project in September 2024 includes the Waaree Energies Integrated Solar Equipment Manufacturing Unit in Neulopoi, Odisha. Developed by Waaree Green Aluminium Pvt Ltd, this project has an estimated investment cost of 25,000 INR-Crore. The project is expected to generate employment for nearly 14,000 people.
