US-based specialty chemicals maker, Lubrizol, has signed a MoU with the diversified industrial group Polyhose to set up a new medical tube manufacturing facility near Chennai. The estimated investment of this project is 200 INR-Crore.
The new medical tube manufacturing facility will span approximately 8,000 SqFt. At first, the plant will operate with 10 extrusion lines, serving both domestic and global markets. Additionally, the facility will generate around 200 direct and indirect jobs, making a significant contribution to local employment.

Through this partnership, the facility will produce high-quality medical tubing for critical applications, such as neurovascular and cardiovascular treatments. These include intravenous catheters, hemodialysis tubes, central venous catheters, ureteral stents, brain stimulation devices, and more. Furthermore, groundbreaking is set for next year, and operations are expected to begin in 2026.
