New terminal building to come up at Indore Airport in 3 years

Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu announced plans to construct a new terminal building at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore. The building will be constructed within the next three years. This initiative aims to enhance passenger capacity and modernize airport facilities. 

The minister also unveiled a new tower-cum-technical block for air traffic control, a state-of-the-art fire safety building, and a garbage disposal plant. Additionally, the civil aviation ministry is progressing with the development plan for Indore airport, with the new terminal expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

Furthermore, necessary modifications will be made to the existing infrastructure to meet the rising demand from passengers. Currently, the Indore airport handles around 40 lakh passengers annually. However, with the new terminal building in place, passenger capacity is expected to increase to 90 lakh.

This ambitious project will significantly improve the overall airport experience, positioning Indore airport as a key hub in the region’s growing aviation network.
