Lilavati Hospital, on Wednesday, January 22 announced developing a 300 bed Cancer Care Institute in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The company unveiled a strategic collaboration with Mayo Clinic USA for this project. The upcoming facility will be located near Lilavati Hospital in Bandra and is expected to be fully operational by December 2025.
The Cancer Care Institute aims to provide personalized and effective cancer treatment using advanced technology and global best practices in oncology. The Maharashtra Government has agreed to allocate land for this project, while the acquisition process is in its final stages. The upcoming Lilavati Hospital will be developed at an estimated 800 INR-Crore, with a built-up area of 3,50,000 SqFt. It will also create between 5,000-6,000 job opportunities for healthcare professionals, researchers, and support staff.

Additionally, Lilavati Hospital and Mayo Clinic have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a Nursing Excellence Programme. This will further enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff through specialized training and development.
