Maha-Metro has invited bids to appoint a Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) for 14 elevated stations across two corridors. These stations will be developed along the Kharadi-Khadakwasla and Nal Stop-Manik Baug routes. The estimated cost for these projects is 9,897.19 INR-Crore. Both corridors are part of the 31.64 Km Pune Metro phase 2 expansion. This project includes eight stations from Deshpande Udyan to Khadakwasla and six from Nal Stop to Daulat Nagar.
The Kharadi-Khadakwasla corridor will span approximately 25.518 Km, connecting key areas like Swargate and Hadapsar. With an estimated budget of 8,131.81 INR-Crore, it will feature 22 elevated stations. This corridor will enhance connectivity between residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and IT hubs, offering a smooth commuting experience.

Meanwhile, the Nal Stop-Manik Baug corridor will cover around 6.118 Km via Warje. It will consist of 6 elevated stations and cost an estimated 1,765.38 INR-Crore. Maha-Metro aims to improve central Pune’s connectivity through this route, easing congestion on Karve Road and Sinhagad Road.
Furthermore, the consultant will handle architecture, structural planning, and essential services like electrical and mechanical systems. Fire safety, plumbing, and sewage management will also be covered. Additionally, the project will include building management systems, acoustics, and noise control. Solar panel integration will promote sustainability, while compliance with IGBC standards will ensure eco-friendly construction. Maha-Metro also plans to incorporate retail spaces, advertisement panels, kiosks, and vending machines to generate additional revenue.
