Gallantt Ispat’s board has greenlit plans to significantly enhance steel capacity at its integrated plant in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The company will increase its steel billet production from 528,000 MT to 800,250 MT and its rolling mill output from 528,000 MT to 805,200 MT.
Moreover, sponge iron capacity will rise from 544,500 MT to 560,000 MT, and Pellet production from 792,000 MT to 990,000 MT. These upgrades promise to unlock new efficiencies and scale for the plant. Additionally, the thermal and waste heat recovery boiler capacity will rise from 78 MW to 100 MW.

Moreover, Gallantt Ispat plans to set up a 100 MW captive solar power plant, underlining its shift toward clean energy. For this ambitious expansion, the board has approved a capital expenditure of around 1,014.98 INR-Crore. This includes both the plant upgrades and the solar initiative. The company aims to complete the project by March 2026.
