On Saturday, May 06, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd (ARBL) held a magnificent groundbreaking ceremony in the Mahbubnagar district, marking the commencement of Telangana’s first gigafactory.
The facility will focus on the production of Lithium Cells and Battery Packs, boasting an impressive capacity of up to 16 GWh and 5 GWh respectively.
To realize this ambitious endeavor, ARBL plans to invest over INR 9,500 crore in research and development, as well as the establishment of a greenfield manufacturing facility dedicated to lithium-ion battery production in Telangana.
