Amara Raja Batteries Limited (ARBL) plans to establish ‘E Positive Energy Labs’, an advanced energy research and innovation center, at the GMR Aerocity near Hyderabad airport.
The primary goal of E Positive Energy Labs is to facilitate breakthroughs in energy storage, electric mobility, and the integration of renewable energy. The center marks a significant step in Amara Raja’s journey towards creating a ‘Giga Corridor,’ encompassing a research facility and a Gigafactory in Divitipalli. This investment amounts to INR 9,500 crores and will be focused on manufacturing Li-ion cells and battery packs.
Situated in Hyderabad, this unique center will feature cutting-edge laboratories and testing infrastructure dedicated to material research, prototyping, product life cycle analysis, and proof-of-concept demonstration. Its role extends to catalyzing collaboration among various stakeholders and nurturing entrepreneurship within this rapidly emerging sector.
