The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has approved projects worth an estimated 11,467 INR-Crore in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. These major projects will focus on essential infrastructure, including roads, reservoirs, residential complexes, and iconic government buildings.
An estimated 2,498 INR-Crore will be allocated to build 360 Km of trunk roads, enhancing connectivity across the capital region. Furthermore, around 1,585 INR-Crore will be invested in water management infrastructure, such as reservoirs and gravity canals along Pala Vagu and Kondaveeti Vagu. The development authority will also take up the construction of residential complexes for gazetted and non-gazetted officers, Class-IV staff, and All India Service (AIS) officers at an estimated 3,523 INR-Crore.

Lastly, the CRDA approved around 3,859 INR-Crore for vital services in returnable layouts, such as underground drainage systems, streetlights, and drinking water supply. Moreover, tenders for these works will be issued immediately, with construction slated to begin in January. With large-scale investments across multiple sectors, these initiatives by CRDA will significantly enhance the infrastructure of Amaravati.
