The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) has announced ambitious plans to build India’s largest cricket stadium in Amaravati, designed to seat a staggering 1.25 lakh spectators. This iconic project will surpass the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, setting a new benchmark for cricket infrastructure.
The ACA has requested around 60 Acres of land from the state government in Amaravati to bring this vision to life. The Andhra cricket stadium will be a centerpiece of a sprawling 200 Acres sports city planned in the region. Beyond the stadium, the ACA intends to bid for hosting the 2029 National Games, further solidifying Amaravati’s reputation as a sports hub.

Additionally, the ACA will establish three state-of-the-art cricket academies in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, and Rayalaseema to nurture budding talent. Meanwhile, the association is also upgrading the Visakhapatnam Stadium with cutting-edge facilities. This modernization aims to make it a premier venue for hosting IPL matches and enhancing the cricketing experience.
