Andhra Pradesh signs 8 MoUs Worth 1,217 INR-Crore at Tourism Summit

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), on Monday, January 27, signed eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth 1,217 INR-Crore. The MoUs were signed during the Regional Tourism Investors Summit, held in Visakhapatnam. These further aim to boost Andhra Pradesh tourism by generating 2,667 jobs in the tourism sector.

The event saw participation from over 150 investors. The projects will span key tourism hubs, including Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Amaravati, and Alluri Sitarama Raju district. These include luxury resorts, cruise hubs, and convention centres by prominent investors such as Atmosphere Hospitality Pvt Ltd, Ripple and Company, and Dolphin Ocean Cruises.

Key investments include:

  • Yarada Beach: 500 INR-Crore for hotels and resorts by Atmosphere Core.
  • Villas and Convention Centre: 100 INR-Crore by Ripple and Co.
  • Visakhapatnam and Amaravati: 50 INR-Crore for hotels by Sumi Yashshree.

The remaining investments include: 30 INR-Crore by MICE Destination for Wedding Venue at Sariyapalli Village, 30 INR-Crore for a luxury resort by Royal Palms at Chirala, and 18 INR-Crore for a beachfront hotel resort by Bluebay Infra Project at Bhogapuram. Meanwhile, Everest Enterprises and Dolphin Ocean Cruise have promised investments in Visakhapatnam Wellness Resort and Visakhapatnam Cruise Hub worth 7 INR-Crore and 5 INR-Crore, respectively.

With these MoUs signed, the state government aims to create 2 million job opportunities in the tourism sector over the next five years. The signing also marks a significant step towards enhancing Andhra Pradesh tourism and attracting more tourists and investors to the state.
