Andhra Pradesh: SIPB gives nod to 1.82 Lakh INR-Crore investments

The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved an estimated 1.82 Lakh INR-Crore in investments across nine major projects in Andhra Pradesh. These projects will create around 2.63 lakh jobs, marking a transformative step in the state’s industrial growth.

Among the initiatives, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is investing around 96,862 INR-Crore in a massive refinery at Ramayapatnam, Nellore district. Spanning an anticipated 6,000 Acres, the project will generate 2,400 jobs. BPCL also plans to develop a township with five blocks, including a learning center, petrochemical unit, and administrative facilities. Officials aim to complete this landmark project before 2029, which is expected to contribute approximately 88,747 INR-Crore in revenue over the next 20 years.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is driving IT growth with an estimated 80 INR-Crore investment in a 2.06 Lakh-SqFt facility at Millennium Towers, Visakhapatnam. This project will employ 2,000 professionals, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s position as an IT hub.

Azad India Mobility Ltd is setting up a green manufacturing unit in Gudipalli, Satya Sai district. With an estimated investment of 1,046 INR-Crore, this eco-friendly project will span around 70.71 Acres. It will produce electric buses, three-wheelers, and battery packs while providing 2,381 jobs. Additionally, Balaji Action Buildwell Pvt Ltd is establishing a plant on an anticipated 106 Acres in Rambilli, Anakapalle district. This project will cost an estimated 1,174 INR-Crore and create 1,500 jobs.

The government has also approved investments totaling around 83,000 INR-Crore in various projects to create 2.5 lakh jobs. AM Green Ammonia (India) Pvt Ltd will establish a Green Hydrogen-based Ammonia Manufacturing unit in Kakinada with an estimated investment of 12,000 INR-Crore, generating 2,600 jobs across 592 Acres.

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd is building a solar power plant in Hosur village, Kurnool district. This 2,000 INR-Crore project will generate 400 MW (megawatts) of power and provide 1,380 jobs. Meanwhile, Reliance Industries Ltd is making a an estimated 65,000 INR-Crore investment to employ over two lakh people, further solidifying Andhra Pradesh’s industrial dominance.
