Project Overview:
Asian Paints (Polymers) Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asian Paints Ltd, is developing a greenfield project in Gujarat’s Dahej. The upcoming project will be located in the GIDC Industrial Estate Dahej II, over an anticipated 25 Acres of land parcel.
The project envisages the construction of a Vinyl Acetate monomer (VAM), Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE), and Redispersible Polymer (RDP) manufacturing plant. It will have a total capacity of 605,000 MTPA, of which, VAM capacity will be 220,000 MTPA, whereas VAE capacity will be 360,000 MTPA. Moreover, the RDP plant will have a capacity of 25,000 MTPA.
The greenfield project is being developed at an estimated construction cost of INR 2,100 Crore and has a construction area of approximately 279,000 SqFt. It is poised to fulfill Asian Paint Ltd’s raw material demands as well as cater to domestic and export needs.
Larsen and Toubro Ltd is handling the civil works of the project, alongside Toyo Engineering India Ltd as the technical consultant.
