Ather Energy is planning to establish a new manufacturing facility to boost its production. The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler company is in discussion with several governments to determine the location of the facility.
Ravneet Phokela, the Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy stated that the facility will mostly be located outside Tamil Nadu and Hosur, where Ather already has its presence. Both the facilities are speculated to generate 420,000 units per year.
Additionally, the company plans on launching new products along with market expansion. The EV manufacturer also mentioned that they will announce their international debut soon. Although the details for their first market have not been specified, the company plans on focusing on the demand requests from Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the European market (As per their thorough analysis of overseas markets).

Ather Energy is one of the dominant companies in India’s electric two-wheeler market. The company recently secured funding of 900 INR-Crore from Hero MotoCorp and GIC, which will be used for new product launches, growth of the retail network, and expansion of charging infrastructure. Ather Energy is estimated to expand in up to 130 -150 cities and 180 experience centers by the end of this financial year.
