On Thursday, September 7, Avaada Group, a renewable energy company, announced that it will establish a green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing unit at the Gopalpur Industrial Park of Tata Steel SEZ Ltd in Odisha.
This announcement comes after Avaada signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd (TSSEZL).

The project plans to create approximately 1,600 direct and 4,000 indirect job opportunities and intends to reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 2 million tonnes.
The renewable energy group has ambitious goals of reaching 11GW of operational projects by 2026 and 30GW by 2030.
Currently, it operates renewable energy capacity totaling 4GW and has 3GW under construction. In addition to investing in solar and wind energy projects and green hydrogen projects, the company has also entered the fields of solar module manufacturing and electrolyzer manufacturing.
