Bengaluru Metro awards Feasibility Study Contract to Aarvee Associates

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) awards feasibility study contracts to Hyderabad-based Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers and Consultants Pvt Ltd for Major Network Expansion. BMRCL awarded the contract to extend the Bengaluru metro in three directions and build a new line. 

Earlier in February, BMRCL invited open bids for consulting services to evaluate the feasibility of extending the metro by 50 Km in three directions. Additionally, they plan to construct a new 68 Km line. The proposed extensions include Challaghatta to Bidadi (15 km), Silk Institute to Harohalli (24 km), and Bommasandra to Attibele (11 km). Moreover, a new line is proposed from Kalena Agrahara to Kadugodi Tree Park, covering Jigani, Anekal, Attibele, Sarjapur, and Varthur, spanning 68 km.

Additionally, Aarvee Associates won another contract earlier. They are studying the feasibility of extending the metro to Tumakuru, covering 52.41 km. These studies will analyze various factors such as construction costs, traffic patterns, alignment, property requirements, and potential land acquisition challenges, according to BMRCL. The studies will take approximately six months to complete.
