The Karnataka Government has decided to build a 32.15 Km double-decker flyover and metro line along the Outer Ring Road. This transformative project will ease daily travel for thousands and reduce the city’s notorious traffic jams.
In addition, authorities will also construct an elevated 8 Km stretch on Magadi Road. This roadway will form a key part of Namma Metro’s Phase III expansion. As a result, the city will gain over 40 Km of new metro routes. Moreover, the entire corridor will be signal-free. Officials will design it as a seamless path combining elevated roads with metro lines for enhanced commuter ease.

Meanwhile, the estimated cost for these projects is 9,800 INR-Crore. Both Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Namma Metro will equally share the cost. The double-decker flyover project marks a monumental step in Bengaluru’s urban evolution. In the coming years, this project will not only decongest roads but also redefine daily travel.
