Bihar Govt approves 556 INR-Crore for Urban Infrastructure Projects

The Bihar Council of Ministers has approved funding for two major projects to enhance urban infrastructure in the state. 400 INR-Crore has been sanctioned for the Motihari Sewerage Network Project and 156 INR-Crore for the Buxar Water Supply Scheme. 

The Motihari Sewerage Network Project will be executed under AMRUT 2.0 through Budco. Authorities will lay 187 Km of sewer lines, which will connect 30,000 households spread across 32 wards. Additionally, the plan includes four intermediate pumping stations and 800 M of rising main pipeline.

Meanwhile, the Buxar Water Supply Scheme will offer a fresh boost to local water systems. It includes the installation of 10 tube wells and 10 chlorinator-equipped pump houses. Furthermore, authorities will construct four water towers along with their campuses. The project will also include a 10.20 Km rising main and a 236 Km water distribution network. This scheme will provide safe drinking water to 16,603 households, directly contributing to better urban infrastructure.
