BMC floats 1,481 INR-Crore tender to set up commercial hub at Dahisar

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recently floated a tender worth 1,481 INR-Crore to build a transportation and a commercial hub at Mumbai’s Dahisar octroi naka. This new hub will come up on an anticipated 18,000 SqM plot, which previously served as a check naka.

The Dahisar Commercial Hub will serve as a vibrant entertainment zone for citizens and a tranquil transit hub for travelers. The state-of-the-art facility will comprise two buildings, one for transportation and another for retail and hotel spaces. The proposed built-up area for this project is approximately 1.16 Lakh-SqM. It will feature shopping malls, banquet halls, restaurants, food courts, auditoriums, and art galleries. The transit zone will also include hotels, eateries, a ticket booking center, and transfer systems for private vehicles, waterways, and metros.

Furthermore, the facility will act as a crucial port for the road transport network. It will ensure seamless travel while regulating emissions. Alongside the commercial zones, it will also offer recreational activities for the public. Once tenders are awarded, the Dahisar commercial hub is expected to be completed within 36 months.
