BMC to construct two 20-storey buildings for staff at Deonar Gaon

BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) has floated tenders for the development of two 20-storey residential towers for BMC workers and officers. The proposed project will come up in Deonar Gaon at an estimated cost of INR 412.64 Crore.

The project will have two buildings towering 27 storeys, known as “600 tenements“, along with amenities like parks, playgrounds, parking, and jogging tracks. It will be developed over an anticipated area of 8746.90 SqM. The buildings will be constructed for officers and workers having houses of 300SqFt and 500 SqFt area approximately. The number of flats per building will be decided once the contractor is finalized.

BMC is currently actively developing several infrastructure projects, including road widening, construction of recreation grounds, hospitals, bridges, etc. Moreover, the authority has also undertaken the project for the construction of relocation accommodation for project-affected people (PAP). BMC has so far constructed 3,091 homes under PAP.
