Ankur Biochem Private Limited has proposed to build a green field project that will include a 20 MW cogeneration power plant and a 750 KLD grain-based distillery to produce ethanol for blending with petroleum. The project site is located at Jamui, Village Chakai, Bihar.
Grain will be used as the primary raw material. Rice husks or briquettes will be used as fuel for generating power. A power plant will also be put in place to supply the project with the necessary power.
The project site is located at 24.53275 (24° 31′ 57.9” N) latitude and 86.43613 (86° 26′ 10.068” E) longitude at Village Chakai, Jamui. The proposed project will be built on a land area of 69 acres with a built-up area of 10,68,856 sq. ft. The total cost for the project will be tantamount to INR 905 crores. As of August 22, 2022, the environmental clearance for the project has been obtained and civil work has begun.
