Coal India Ltd has invited online tenders for an expansive solar project through its official website. The bid is open for designing, engineering, and procurement of a 40 MW (AC) ground-mounted, grid-connected solar PV power plant. This project is located in Johilla, Umaria, Madhya Pradesh.
This solar project by Coal India will also include a 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period post-commissioning. The project requires sourcing, testing, and transporting PV modules with a 56 MWp capacity for design, procurement, and supply. These modules will support a 1500V system voltage, ensuring DC overloading capabilities and including essential spares.

Additionally, in terms of transmission infrastructure, the plan requires setting up and commissioning a 132 kV transmission system that will cover a 20 Km stretch, connecting the site to the Birsinghpur Pali Substation. Furthermore, the scope of work includes construction and civil works, installation of electrical systems, and setting up demonstration performance metrics.
