In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has proposed two dual-lane Y-shaped bridges across the Ganga River in Kanpur. The project, estimated to cost 726 INR-Crore, aims to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion.

The two bridges across the Ganga River will have landing points at Ranighat and Dhobighat, respectively. Both bridges will be 11 Meters wide, enhancing local accessibility. The distinctive Y-shaped design will see one bridge from Transganga City terminating at Dhobighat. Meanwhile, the Kanpur-originating bridge will extend to Ranighat. The structures will converge mid-river, connecting between gates one and three of Transganga City, establishing direct access and facilitating improved transit to Lucknow.
