Central Railway has begun the process for construction of the long-waited Chikhloli station on the Kalyan-Badlapur route. The project got the construction approval to cater to the heavy footfall in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region as a part of the third and fourth line between Kalyan and Badlapur stations.
Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC) on Wednesday, October 11, announced that the tender bidding process shall commence from the last week of November. The estimated construction cost for the project is 82 INR-Crore. It is expected to be completed within two years after the work starts.

The proposed railway station will be constructed between Badlapur and Ambernath – as stated by MRVC. It will be 3.1 km from Badlapur and 4.34 km from Ambernath.
