Dalmia Bharat, on Friday, February 28, announced a strategic investment of an estimated 3,520 INR-Crore in Maharashtra and Karnataka. This move aims to expand its cement capacity significantly, bringing it to 55.5 MnTPA.
The company will establish a 3.6 MnTPA clinker unit and a 3 MnTPA grinding unit at its existing Belgaum plant in Karnataka. Additionally, a new greenfield split grinding unit with a capacity of 3 MnTPA will be set up in Pune, Maharashtra. The upcoming units are expected to be commissioned by Q4 FY 2027-28.

Dalmia Bharat’s Belgaum grinding unit will cater to the underserved Southern Maharashtra markets. Meanwhile, the Pune grinding unit will serve the untapped Western Maharashtra markets. This initiative aligns with the company’s vision to be a PAN India player and achieve 75 MnTPA capacity by FY 2028-29.
