In a move to improve city infrastructure, the Delhi Government approved a 6 Km elevated road project worth an estimated 500 INR-Crore.
This stretch will link Sonia Vihar on Pushta Road in north-east Delhi to Tronica City in Ghaziabad. The plan aims to ease traffic congestion in the trans-Yamuna region. Alongside this, the Delhi Government also decided to build a road corridor on both banks of the Sahibi River.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Jal Board started work on a separate project to tackle water supply disruptions. They are laying an 11 Km pipeline to overcome the challenges caused by rising ammonia levels in the Yamuna. The pipeline, estimated to cost 300 INR-Crore, will run from the Haiderpur water treatment plant in Rohini to the Wazirabad barrage.
