The Indira Gandhi International Airport‘s Aerocity is poised to boast India’s largest mall at an estimated investment of USD 2.5. Billion. The mall will sprawl over an anticipated 28 Lakh-SqFt of land parcel.
This project forms the ground for developing India’s first aerotropolis – a city near an airport. It is further expected to grow eight times in the coming five years. Subsequently, the global business district will be expanded by an additional 65 Lakh-SqFt. This will result in an overall leaseable area of 1.8 Crore-SqFt for offices, retail, food courts, a mega mall, and public spaces.

The Delhi International Airport (DIAL), supported by GMR bid for the Aerocity project, with Bharti Realty emerging as the winner. Currently, Aerocity boasts 5,000 hotel rooms across 11 top hotels including JW Marriott, Accor Group, and Roseate. Upon completion of Phase 2, the number of rooms will increase to 7,000 across 16 hotels.
