Errabelli Dayakar Rao lays foundation stone for Palm Oil Factory in Thorrur

The Panchayat Raj Minister, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, laid the foundation stone for a palm oil factory in Gopalagiri, Thorruru Mandal, Palakurti Constituency, Mahabubabad District, as part of the Telangana state government’s proactive efforts to promote oil palm cultivation, offer subsidies to encourage farmers, and expand the cultivated area in anticipation of future needs.

The office of the palm oil factory was also inaugurated in Haripirala village. Currently, Mahabubabad district cultivates oil palm on 6,535 acres of land. 

The Gopalagiri Palm Oil Factory, set to be constructed on 82 acres of land, will possess the capacity to process 30 to 60 tons of oil per day. The cost of constructing this factory is estimated at INR 175 Crore. It will stand as the country’s largest factory of its kind with a milling capacity of 60 tonnes of oil per hour. 

This establishment will generate employment opportunities for approximately 300 individuals. Beyond just expanding the palm oil cultivation area, the factory will also be accessible to the farmers.
