Escorts Kubota Ltd, a farm and construction equipment manufacturer, plans to invest an estimated INR 4,500 Crore towards setting up a new manufacturing plant. The company intends to develop this greenfield project in Rajasthan’s Ghiloth and is currently in talks with the Rajasthan Government about the same.
Escorts Kubota plans to double its domestic tractor manufacturing production capacity to 3.4 Lakh units annually. The company has a current production capacity of 1.7 Lakh units per annum. Additionally, the investment includes setting up new engine and construction equipment lines in phases. Escorts Kubota’s current engine production capacity is at 1.5 Lakh units per annum.

The company will spend an estimated INR 400-450 Crore for procuring land for the projects. Construction is expected to start by the end of the current fiscal year, said Bharat Madan, the full-time director and CFO of Escorts Kubota Ltd.
